The Acolyte is a Star Wars series set at the end of the High Republic era, following a Jedi Master investigating crimes that reveal dark forces.
Premise:
The series begins with Jedi Master Indara’s murder, leading to the arrest of former Jedi Padawan Osha Aniseya. Escaping custody, Osha discovers her twin sister Mae is alive and responsible for the crime. As Osha and other Jedi track Mae, they uncover a plot involving a mysterious fallen Jedi named Qimir.
- Jedi Master Indara is killed by Mae Aniseya, leading to Osha’s arrest and escape. Osha learns Mae is alive and seeks her out with the help of Jedi Masters.
- Mae attempts to kill Jedi Master Torbin but is thwarted. Osha, posing as Mae, gathers information about Mae’s plan, leading to a confrontation where Mae kills Torbin with poison.
- Flashback: As children, Osha and Mae live with witches on Brendok. After a fire, Osha joins the Jedi, believing Mae died.
- On Khofar, Mae captures Qimir and attempts to reconcile with Osha, but finds Kelnacca, a target, dead. The fallen Jedi, revealed as Qimir, attacks the Jedi.
- Qimir kills several Jedi, but Sol and Osha escape. Mae turns herself in, leading to another confrontation where Qimir is seemingly defeated.
- Qimir kidnaps Osha and tries to sway her. Mae’s deception is discovered, and Sol is implicated in past crimes.
- Flashback: The Jedi Council discovers the twins’ unique Force connection. Sol chooses to save Osha over Mae, leading to the twins’ separation.
- Sol and Mae return to Brendok to confront their past. Osha and Qimir follow, leading to a final showdown.
