Plot
Varun, a gifted chef carrying emotional scars from his past, meets Anjali through a matrimonial proposal. The two connect instantly, fall in love, and eventually marry, beginning a joyful life together. When they decide to start a family, they discover a heartbreaking truth—Anjali is fertile but unable to carry a baby to full term.
Seeking hope, Anjali consults IVF specialist Dr. Raaga Kumar, who surprisingly volunteers to be the surrogate mother. Once Raaga becomes pregnant, Varun reveals a shocking detail: Raaga is his ex-girlfriend. Reception
Critics offered varied opinions:
- The Times of India, India Today, and Cinema Express rated it 3/5, praising the emotional engagement, contemporary themes, and performances but noting pacing issues and uneven writing in the latter half.
- The Hindu remarked that despite intriguing ideas around love, pride, and communication, the writing felt thin for a story centered on three characters.
- OTTPlay and Filmfare gave 2.5/5, pointing out narrative inconsistency and logical flaws.
- Deccan Chronicle rated it 2/5, critiquing the rushed romantic portions and over-focus on pregnancy sequences, calling it a missed opportunity.
- The Hollywood Reporter India observed that while the film appears to explore a man caught between two women, it ultimately becomes a cautionary portrait of a self-absorbed man.
