Introduction
Naa Saami Ranga is a 2024 Indian Telugu-language period action drama directed by Vijay Binni, in his directorial debut, and written by Abhilash N. Chandran. It stars Nagarjuna, Allari Naresh, Raj Tarun, Ashika Ranganath, and Shabeer Kallarakkal. The soundtrack is composed by M. M. Keeravani, with cinematography by Dasaradhi Sivendra and editing by Chota K. Prasad. The film was released on 14 January 2024, coinciding with Makar Sankranti.
Plot Summary
In 1963, orphan Kishtayya befriends Anji and his mother, who take him in. Varadaraju, a creditor, demands the kids sell their house, but Peddayya, a local leader, helps them, creating loyalty from Kishtayya. Kishtayya loves Varadaraju’s daughter, Varalu, but fails to confess his feelings. In 1988, Kishtayya remains unmarried, awaiting Varalu. He helps Bhaskar, who loves Kumari, against Veerabhadrudu’s opposition. Varalu and Kishtayya’s love is marred by guilt over her father’s accidental death.
Conflict arises when Dasu, Peddayya’s son, returns and creates chaos. On Makar Sankranti, Kishtayya vows to protect the village and ensure Bhaskar and Kumari’s marriage. Dasu kills Anji, inciting Kishtayya to retaliate. Kishtayya kills Dasu and many of Veerabhadrudu’s men. Peddayya, feeling betrayed, stabs Kishtayya, who survives and marries Varalu.
