Plot
Vedha Prajapati, a young orphan surviving as a pickpocket, encounters Vibha, a sanyasi, who reveals to him that he is destined to protect the nine sacred grandhas created by Emperor Ashoka. After the Kalinga War, Ashoka infused divine power into these nine scriptures, which possess the ability to transform mortals into deities. A ruthless organization called The Black Sword, led by Mahabir Lama, captures eight of these grandhas, becoming immensely powerful. However, the ninth and most powerful scripture, the Amaragrandha, remains beyond his reach and is protected by Vedha’s lineage. Vedha learns that to defeat Mahabir Lama, he must wield the divine super-weapon Mirāi, later revealed to be the Kodanda (bow) of Lord Ram. The film follows Vedha’s journey of self-discovery, valor, and destiny. In a post-climax scene, a mysterious man with the power of the Midas touch vows to seek Mirāi for his own form of justice, hinting towards the sequel.
Music
The film’s soundtrack was composed by Gowra Hari, following his success with Hanu-Man (2024). The first single “Vibe Undi”, sung by Armaan Malik, was released in July 2025. Production
Development
Mirai was officially announced on 18 April 2024 with a title promo. The film was initially scheduled for release on 18 April 2025 but was postponed due to production delays. The budget reportedly increased from ₹30–40 crore to nearly ₹60 crore owing to extensive visual effects and plans for a pan-India release.
Filming
Filming primarily took place at Ramoji Film City and other locations in Hyderabad. Night shoots for the talkie portions were completed by December 2024.
Music
